For that, we need the best people. That’s where you come in. The finance department consists of a small team with high ambitions. We are looking for a seasoned finance professional to head up the team and make those ambitions come to life.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for all local and international financial and related risk management; Contribute to the development of the strategic goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for the development and execution of the financial management strategy; identify opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement or automation.
  • Provide timely and accurate analyses of budgets, financial reports and financial trends; monitor financial performance by measuring and analysing results in light of the business requirements; continuously improve reporting to deliver adequate insights to stakeholders.
  • Serve as the financial liaison to the Executive team; effectively communicate and present critical financial and tax matters.
  • Advise members of the Leadership team on financial planning, budgeting and cash flow and get their commitment on operating principles.
  • Drive and own the budgeting process and annual audit and lead the relationship with our accountancy firm.
  • Build a stellar team; provide technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial discipline. Create clear roles and responsibilities and develop skill sets and performance of team members.
  • Ensure solid documentation of financial data, contracts, and exceptions on agreements
  • Advise on any contracts or proposals into which the organization may enter from the financial perspective
  • Evaluate and advise on the financial impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory action.

Skill set

  • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation ability.
  • Extensive financial knowledge and know-how; Degree in Finance or accounting.
  • An eye for detail and natural inclination for accuracy.
  • Superior management skills; ability to drive, train and engage direct reports.
  • Self reflective and productive; constantly pushing to deliver more and better insights whilst keeping the regular processes going.
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior management.
  • Ability to lead, and an eagerness to mentor coach, and develop staff and cultivate new talent.
  • 10+ years experience, preferably in an international fast growing, venture backed company or in the ‘start-up’ business of a larger corporate.
  • Flexible, collaborative, structured and proactive.
